Major Russian Attacks Eliminate Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to blackouts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, European nations and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and applying sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the city came under intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were injured.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to spot.

Authorities told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the national power system, with attacks already impacting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were preparing for more assaults.
